We are thrilled to announce that BoldSign now supports Qualified Electronic Signatures (QES), marking a significant milestone in our commitment to providing a secure, legally compliant e-signature solution.

This achievement means BoldSign meets the stringent requirements of the EU’s eIDAS regulation, the highest standard for electronic signatures across Europe.

What is a QES?

A QES is the most secure and legally binding electronic signature under the eIDAS framework. Equivalent to a handwritten signature, it ensures:

  • Unquestionable authenticity: The signer’s identity is verified through rigorous processes like face-to-face or video-based ID checks.
  • Legal enforceability: QES is recognized across all EU member states and the UK, providing the highest level of legal assurance.

Why QES compliance matters

With QES compliance, BoldSign empowers businesses and individuals to:

  • Enhance trust: Robust identity verification ensures all parties can trust the signature’s authenticity.
  • Expand global reach: QES is recognized across the EU and UK, simplifying cross-border business without compromising compliance.
  • Reduce administrative burdens: Digital QES workflows save time, reduce paperwork, and boost efficiency compared to traditional methods.

BoldSign commitment to security and compliance

Achieving QES compliance adds to the existing certifications that BoldSign has, including SOC 2® Type 2, GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS. By partnering with eIDAS-certified Qualified Trust Service Providers (QTSPs), we ensure your data and signatures are protected at every stage.

What this means for you

Whether you’re a small business, a multinational corporation, or an individual handling a sensitive agreement , BoldSign QES compliance offers:

  • Legality: Know that your signatures carry the same legal weight as handwritten ones.
  • Flexibility: Use QES for high-stakes documents while leveraging simple e-signatures or advanced e-signatures for other needs.
  • Efficiency: Complete secure, globally compliant transactions faster with our intuitive platform.
