How to Design a 15 Piece Burr Puzzle Using 3D CAD Software
Burr puzzles are classic interlocking brain teasers that challenge both spatial reasoning and problem-solving skills. Designing one digitally adds an extra layer of complexity and creativity to the process. With SelfCAD’s easy-to-use interface and precise modeling tools, creating a 15-piece burr puzzle becomes an engaging project that blends logic, geometry, and 3D design. This task not only pushes the limits of shape manipulation but also provides an excellent opportunity to explore how digital tools can bring mechanical puzzles to life.

In this article, we’ll walk through the step-by-step design of a 15-piece burr puzzle using SelfCAD. By the end, readers will understand how to model intricate components while maintaining functionality, precision, and aesthetic appeal, all within a digital workspace.
