Hi DEV community 👋
I’m a 22-year-old student from Taiwan, and for the past 6 months, I’ve been working on my first SaaS side project — Herewegoal: a lightweight, personal project management tool.
Why I built it?
As someone juggling school, freelance gigs, and personal projects, I kept running into project management tools that felt… too much.
- Trello was too clicky and hard to share tasks with people outside my workspace
- Notion was super flexible, but I often spent more time organizing than actually doing
- Jira… well, that one’s not even built for people like me 😅
I just wanted something that:
- Helps me track what I’m doing today
- Makes it easy to share tasks without inviting people to a team
- Doesn’t overwhelm me with features I never use
So I decided to build it myself.
What's different?
- Distraction-free by design – Built for focus, not features.
- From project → today – Set do dates, not just due dates.
- One-to-many delegation – Assign tasks without requiring others to sign up.
- Tasks and projects in one place – No more switching between tools.
I’d love your thoughts on:
- First impressions
- Features you’d expect or want to see
- Whether this would help with your personal workflows (important!!)
Herewegoal is still early-stage and your feedback would really help me shape it further.

Thanks for reading, and even more if you give it a try!
