Back once again! After I published the JavaScript for Rails Developers book (see below), I took it a bit slower the following week. There are lots of goodies in the making now again. 🧑💻 I started working on Rails Designers (the private community for Rails UI Engineers & Frontend Designers) and am also working on not one, but three new open-source projects! 🚀 All to be released in the next months. Really excited about it all! 😊

📔 JavaScript for Rails Developers
On April, 17th I (finally) published the book JavaScript for Rails Developers. It has seen a few hundred sales since. 🤯 It is has slowed down a fair bit by now, but it still sees sales every day (accept on Saturdays without exception; why do people not buy on Saturday?). It was from my point of view a messy launch. I was eagerly waiting for the book to come back from the editor to publish it. It came back, I published, but then quickly found various new errors. 😭 Another editor quickly took over and that version is now live. I have a small list of updates I'd like to add soon. With that all said: really happy with the result so far, but I cannot recommend publishing a book. 😅

Open Source: Rails Icons and Stimulus FX
Pushed a new release of Rails Icons and Stimulus FX. Rails Icons (now +33k downloads) saw mostly improvements and bug fixes, but also a new feature thanks to jbennett. Stimulus FX has now an (experimental) enhanced debugging feature for Stimulus. Next to the typical lifecycle methods logging, it will show you the available targets and values for every Stimulus controller. Really helps to quickly solve common issues with Stimulus.
New in Rails Designer's UI Components 🏗️
Today I released version 1.14 of Rails Designer's UI Components that sports an all-new calendar component.

As with all the UI Components, this one too is really versatile and easy to match your app.
Also included is a new “authentication” layout. What a beauty, right? 💅
