If your team's retrospectives have started to feel a bit repetitive ("What went well?" "What didn’t?" "Can we please go home now?"), you're not alone.

When working on Kollabe, I had heard this over and over:

"We like running retros, but they all end up feeling the same."

So we built something to fix that.

🎨 A Giant (and Growing) Library of Retrospective Templates

We just launched a new page on Kollabe.com/templates — it’s a growing collection of creative retrospective templates designed to keep retros fresh, fun, and actually helpful.

These aren’t your typical “Glad/Sad/Mad” formats (though we’ve got those too). We’re talking:

There’s zero sign-up required to browse or explore. You can run them solo, with your team, or launch directly into Kollabe if you want to use them collaboratively.

🤖 Can’t Find One You Like? Generate a Retro Template with AI

If you don’t see something that fits your team’s vibe, there’s also a free tool to generate your own AI-powered retrospective template.

You can enter any theme prompt — like “Olympics,” “Jurassic Park,” or “Cyberpunk Megacorp” — and it’ll spit out a custom retro format you can copy or launch instantly.

It’s designed to be lightweight and fast — great for PMs, EMs, or devs who got stuck running the retro and need something fun but not fluffy in five minutes or less.

💡 Why It Exists

We built this because too many teams either:

  • stop running retros because they feel repetitive, or
  • keep doing them but mentally check out halfway through

Templates with a theme or story help re-engage the team while still delivering value — without having to reinvent the retro format every sprint.

🆓 TL;DR:

If you give it a spin, I’d love to hear what templates your team enjoyed most — or what theme you prompted the AI with. (Someone already tried “Fast & Furious” and somehow made it work. Not sure how I feel about that.)

Let’s make retrospectives suck less.
