Hey Dev.to fam 👋
I’m working on a project that’s a little hard to explain — and I think that’s what makes it special. It’s not your everyday startup idea, not some productivity clone or chatbot wrapper. It’s something for the misfits. For people who feel out of place, out of line, and offtrack — in the system, in life, and in their heads.
The project combines tech, design, and mental clarity in a way that doesn’t exist yet. It’s part career discovery, part reflective space, part something else I won’t fully share here (yet 😌). Let’s just say it speaks to people who don’t feel seen by LinkedIn or traditional career paths…
The vibe?
✨ Zen aesthetics.
✨ Smooth UX — minimal, organic, ambient.
✨ Emotion-aware interactions. The goal is to build a website-first product, powered by AI, backed by intentional UI/UX, with a long-term roadmap that includes mobile, community, and maybe even ambient journaling, vector-based memory, or a personal AI "companion."
If that sounds vague — that’s on purpose. This idea is close to heart, and I want to build it with people who feel the same pull — not just people chasing the next trend.
🧠 Tech Stack (Open to Suggestions):
- Frontend: Next.js (React), Tailwind CSS, Framer Motion (for subtle animations), shadcn/ui for components
- Backend: Node.js / Express, or Firebase (if we wanna move fast early on)
- Database: PostgreSQL (Supabase) or Firestore
- Auth: Firebase Auth, Clerk, or Auth.js
- AI Layer: OpenAI (ChatGPT, GPT-4/3.5), potential use of LangChain, Pinecone for memory
- Hosting: Vercel (Frontend), Railway / Render / Supabase backend
- Other tools: Zustand / Redux (for state), Prisma (ORM), Figma (for UI prototyping), Notion (for collab)
Optional but interesting to explore:
- Mental Health APIs (for mood tracking or journaling)
- Calendar & Mail integration
- PWA capabilities
🔍 Looking for:
- Developers (frontend, backend, full-stack)
- UI/UX designers who understand the aesthetic of peace
- AI/LLM tinkerers who want to use GPTs in a useful, intentional way
- People who’ve ever felt like they don’t fit in the mainstream mold and want to build a home for people like them
I’m still in early stages — wireframing, prototyping, planning — but I’d love to connect with anyone who resonates with this.
📬 DM me if you want to be a part of something real. This ain’t a startup for the exit. It’s a project for the souls who stayed.
Let's build something Offtrack — together.
