I'd almost forgotten that tonight was dev blog night. I'm currently working on trying to make my rivers look good. I didn't want to post any screen shots tonight, because I hadn't finished what I was working on, but then I figured, that's kind of the point of this blog. To show the current progress of things, so without further adieu, here are my WIP river tiles.
The artwork is being created in Rive, though the Voronoi Diagram that I used as a base for the river's texture, is an export from here...

Which then had to be imported into Affinity Designer, and then exported as an SVG from there, so that Rive could read it. I'm using Rive's new feathering technique for shading under the trees and shrubs, and to create depth in the river. The plan is to animate the river eventually, but I need to create some more tiles first. That's it for tonight.
